FYI the police have one of the robbers that held up Robinson’s Jeweler in custody  and have a lead on the other two that were involved.

The police did a great job on this.

Also FYI the guy that robbed Mom.s deli is still in jail as well as the two guys that held up the person on Oleatha.

I plan to show up at all the hearings on all of the criminals that try to do things in our neighborhood. Also the Lindenwood neighborhood association does the same thing.

As you may have heard  Robinson’s Jeweler was robbed this afternoon. I talked to the police chief several times today about this. Here are the facts as I know them. A lady was carjacked and duct taped and was forced to ride in the car while they robbed  Robinson’s Jeweler. The lady does live in st Louis hills neighborhood. She is ok, but this will most likely affect her the rest of her life. The owner of the store did take a shot at the robbers and hit one of them, and the police found blood in the car which should help them find the robbers. There was also video of the robbery that may help.

The chief assured me that he will put more police in the neighborhood. You may not see them at first because they will be in plain clothes. He also transferred in a Lt. that I know and he lives in our neighborhood.

I am very concerned about the crime that has been taking place in our neighborhood.  I also received an e-mail about a stolen car last night in the  6500 block of  Marquette, as well as Copper downspout stolen from front of house overnight in 6000 block of Pernod. It seems to me that the police are being pulled out of our neighborhood and crime been going up. I feel that we need to let the police know that we need them to spend more time here. We have a low crime neighborhood and we want to keep it that way. I plan to talk to the chief of police about this and ask him to give us his plan on how he is going to put a stop to this. I would also like to add to the people that think the answer is to move, you can’t out run crime. I would encourage you to help us fight this and help keep this the best place to live as it is now.

CRIME ALERT BULLETIN

Lindenwood Residents,

A trend has developed along the South Grand corridor of out side air conditioner thefts. Many businesses have been victimized and we ask that everyone be attentive to late night suspicious activity.

While there is no specific description of the suspects, be alert to those operating pickup trucks late at night in the alley and gang ways.

Although our neighborhood hasn’t experienced this I still wanted to send it out so everyone is informed and can check there units on a more regular basis. It’s easy to forget about our AC units during the winter months.

If you see anything suspicious please do not hesitate to contact 911.
