If you are not aware the South Patrol Division Detective Bureau arrested a subject and cleaned up 27 copper gutter thefts spread throughout the second district, that will impact crime reduction in your Ward(s).

The Circuit Attorneys Office only issued 6 charges of the 27 incidents mentioning since the 27 incidents only impacted 6 neighborhoods, only 6 charges were issued.

And it gets better, Judge Stovall-Reid’s bond for all the 27 lives he disrupted and violated, is $7,500 dollars, cash only.  Is this a joke?

This is an example of what each of you must know your Police Department is dealing with on a daily basis.  What is it going to take to get everyone on the same page?

Be safe and have a good weekend.

Residents,

For those of you that aren’t aware we have a new Captain in the 2nd District, his name is Captain Michael Deeba. He will replace Captain William Swiderski who has taken an assignment in the new Headquarters Building.

I’m sure in the near future he will be attending some of the neighborhood meetings to introduce himself and discuss what his plans are in the district.

That being said, I am pleased to announce that Capt. Deeba has approved the sending out of a weekly crime report as I have done in the past.

He agrees that this is a great tool for residents to use to their advantage and I believe an extra set of eyes on areas you’re informed about is never a bad thing.

The plan is to send the first report out next week.

I only ask that if this element was important to you, make sure you thank him at your next neighborhood meeting.

Thank you,

P.O. Vince Stehlin
