Come and join us for our first Tweetup of the year at El Paisano at 3315 Watson Rd!  If you haven’t made any New Year’s Resolutions for 2016 how about starting to attend Tweetup’s?  You won’t regret it!  Here’s your opportunity to meet new people from our neighborhood, chat to Alderman Joe and NIS Annette, eat some great Mexican food and have a great time doing it!

Tweetup is just another name for a meet up.  There are no hidden agendas.  It’s totally a fun and social event.  You can be there for 10 minutes, say hi and leave, or you can stay the entire time.  Some people eat appetizers, some order dinner, some order food to go, some drink, some don’t. We will be in the back section past the bar area and I’m told there are $2 margaritas on Tuesday nights! You are responsible for your own check.

Don’t be a stranger.  We’d love to meet you!  Tell your neighbors and we hope to see you there!

Residents,

This email is to inform you that a Sentencing Hearing has just been scheduled for Keyon Walton (see below). This will be in Division 5 in the Civil Courts Building, #10 N. Tucker Blvd.

Here is a quick run down of what Walton was involved in, in case you forgot. Our burglary detectives  were patrolling the Lindenwood Park Neighborhood due to recent burglaries (this was in August 2015) when they observed a b/m carrying a back pack walking on Wabash from Lindenwood. The subject, Keyon Walton was recognized by detectives as the subject captured on video leaving the scene of a burglary on 8/17/15 in the 70xx block of Sutherland. Based on this information the detectives stopped Walton and found him in possession of electronics, jewelry and cash and a screwdriver. During a canvass of the immediate area, detectives located a residence in the 71xx block of Lindenwood with a side door open and a back window open with the screen cut out. The homeowner was contacted and responded, thus verifying the property that Walton had was her property. Walton was arrested and charged with Burglary 2nd,
Stealing, Property Damage and Possession of Burglary Tools. He is also on probation for burglary.

If any residents would like to join me in letting the judge know we want Walton held responsible for his actions, please stop by..

Thank you,

P.O. Vince Stehlin
