IMPACT LETTER SIGNING OPPORTUNITY

Lindenwood Residents

Lindenwood, as well as the Southampton Court Advocacy Teams have been following the case involving LeVelle Rose for incidents that occurred in both neighborhoods.  Rose was arrested last December and charged with Burglary 1st, Stealing, Property Damage 1st and 2nd, Trespassing 1st and Resisting Arrest.  This again was the result of some fantastic police work by the 2nd District Burglary Unit.  After Posting bond, Rose was implicated in several additional burglaries.  Again, the burglary unit responded to his residence and placed him under arrest for the additional charges.  Rose is currently confined at this time.

If you would like to sign the signature pages for this case on behalf of residents in Lindenwood who submitted Impact Statements to the court, they will be available at the South Patrol Police Station from February 26 through March 4.

Thank you again to everyone for your support in these cases.

P.O. Vince Stehlin

Increase In LPNA Membership Dues

For as long as we can remember, LPNA has kept the Association Membership dues at a minimum cost, but with the increase in the cost of events that are provided to our neighborhood, a Board decision was made to increase them. Beginning July 1, 2016 the annual membership dues will increase from $12 per year, per household, to $15 per year, per household.

This small increase will help towards the cost of the concerts in the park at Lindenwood Live, Movie Night in the Park, Flea Market, LinFest, helping with maintaining the park, highway clean up with the Green Team, community garden upkeep and so much more.

We appreciate the commitment of our membership and encourage you to join the Association and be a part of contributing to our wonderful neighborhood.

To join the Lindenwood Park Neighborhood Association or to renew your membership, you can sign up at any General Membership meeting (next one is the first Monday in March at Union United Methodist Church, corner Watson Rd. and Pernod Ave. at 7.30pm), join/renew online at www.lindenwoodpark.org or complete the application form in the 2016 Lindenwood Park Directory, which will be mailed out to all residents of Lindenwood Park during the last week in February.

You can still join the Association or renew your membership at the old price until July 1st, when the fees will increase to $15. We hope you will support the LPNA and we look forward to seeing you at our events this year!

General Membership Meeting

Lindenwood Park Neighborhood Association (LPNA) General Membership Meeting

Monday, March 7, 2016
7:30 – 9:00pm

All general meetings are held in the auditorium in the lower level of Union United Methodist Church at the corner of Watson and Pernod.

Our city representatives will be there, as well as a public information officer from the police department, and neighborhood board members. Sometimes local and state representatives also attend to speak with the public and hear from them. Check the website closer to the meeting date for the Agenda.

Find out about: Neighborhood Meetings.

Tweetup at Spiro’s South

Our February Tweetup (Happy Hour) will be held at Spiro’s Restaurant, 3122 Watson Rd. on February 23rd from 5.30pm – 7.30pm.

Tweetup’s are great neighborhood events where you can meet some new people, reconnect with friends, support a local restaurant and meet your Alderman and NIS.

There is no agenda. We are just there to eat, drink and have fun. Please remember that you are responsible for your own check.

Spiro’s has been in our neighborhood for 39 years! If you’ve never eaten there, this is a great opportunity to sample their fabulous Greek/Mediterranean food!  Hope to see you there! Opa!

Find out more about the Lindenwood Neighborhood Association and south St. Louis on our website.

We sponsor many activities and opportunities for our residents and friends. We hope to see you at some of those events!
